Do you know what is happening?

As an entrepreneur you cannot adapt a 90 day mindset unless you know what is happening  . . . . (see previous post)

‘What is happening’ is not the same for everybody even although we all live in the same country, city or community. Sure we all sit behind a multiplicity of filters, some we can do little about (eg censorship both formal and informal) but we still have a large measure of control over the information that makes itself into our hearts and minds. It is this information that will determine our strategies and decisions.

Unfortunately people are too casual about the control they exercise over these filters and news channels. They allow information to arrive in an uncontrolled chaotic fashion which is often contradictory and confusing.

One of the most important exercises you can do is to decide who you are going to listen to because from them your understanding of ‘what is happening’ will be formed; this is turn will influence your 90 day mindset .

The array of who you listen to should be balanced between selected news services, leaders, mentors and commentators. There must be a balance between local and international news. There must be a spread over a variety of sciences and disciplines that affect your industry and your management style. There must be a balanced between statistics, trends and forecasts.

Your choice channels of news and opinions shapes your ability to make decisions and follow a 90 day mindset.
